International collaboration

Technische Universität Munchen (TUM)

Cooperation with the Engineering Risk Analysis (ERA) group, coordinated by Prof. Daniel Straub, on topics related to surrogate modelling for noisy optimization using Stochastic Kriging, development of risk optimization algorithms based on stochastic gradients, and Bayesian model updating.

Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP)

CORE’s researchers have been working together with Prof. Diogo Ribeiro from ISEP, on topics related to the drive-by damage detection of railway bridges using deep learning approaches. Prof. Ribeiro currently is the co-advisor of a PhD thesis at UFSC.

Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) de Rouen

Cooperation with the Laboratory of Optimization and Reliability in Mechanical Structures (LOFIMS) of the INSA Rouen, coordinated by Prof. José Eduardo Souza de Cursi, on topics related to the development of optimization under uncertainty problems such as Reliability Based Design Optimization (RBDO), state estimation problems using polynomial chaos.
